BAHIA DE LA LUNA: Well we were wrong! SAN AUGUSTIN is not the best beach... After a fairly long drive on a "pista" off the main road, we work our way down a fairly steep path to a small bahia called BAHIA DE LA LUNA. The way downs is so steep that we wonder if the car will get back up again. Unfortunatly there is no way to turn backuntil we get to the bottom... As we arrive to the bahia, Christian decides to take the car back up empty and immediately. Better do it early in the day in case we need to go for help to get the car back up... Fortunatly, the car does just fine and Christian walks back down the path to join the rest of the family basking in the sun... There is nobody around for miles and we have the entire place to ourselves. Along the hillside there is another bungalow style hotel. It looks fairly new but it has been abandonned for the last two years. The place is heaven and the bungalows are very nice. The owner is an illuminated foreigner who wanted to make the place into a spiritual retreat for "special tourists". With Yoga, meditation and the rest... He apparently was so annoying and picky, that he drove the tourists away. In the meantime, we take advantage of the beach, the banana leaf parasol, the hamac, and the fresh water available at one of the faucets of the bungalows.
