SAN AUGUSTIN BEACH: We drive along the coast to MAZUNTE. We stayed in MAZUNTE two years ago at the same hotel. It is a very pleasant set of bungalows built along the hillside going down to the beach in the very beautiful bay of Mazunte. Although the hotel has no electricity in the rooms and no hot water, the bungalows are very pleasant, equipped with a terrasse with a unique view of the bay and beach below. The terrasses also have a hamac... The next day we try SAN AUGUSTIN beach. This is one of the most beautiful bays in the area. Furthermore, it has a coral reef that is great for snorkeling. There are Falafas on the beach. These are little restaurants setup by the local fisherman. Basically, a few poles, a leaf roof to protect from the sun, and some plastic chairs and tables. You can eat the catch of the day barbecued on the spot for just a few dollars. They also serve our favorite: Cold coconut...
