SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS: The heart of Chiapas. We check into our very cute hotel for the night (see the picture of the hotel atrium). The next day, we visit the market and snap shots left and right. Colours, spices, people… This stop was one we were looking forward to, and we weren't disappointed. We had are eyes everywhere and couldn't resist buying countless Indian scarfs, bracelets, handbags, belts, etc… The Indians do not like to be photographed as they believe that the photograph captures part of their soul. We must take portraits from a distance with the zoom. Some came out just great… One Indian (hpim352) noticed Christian taking the picture. He doesn't look to happy… But look at the colours on his finely woven pancho.
